The Triple Arch Jhula DayBed was inspired by the swings of the Maharaja's court. This unique day bed features a carved arch back, lattice interwoven woodwork and arms layered with scales. The Arch Carved Jhula Daybed was hand crafted from solid Indian Neem Wood, of the Mahogany family. Neem is a natural pesticide and a solid dense wood ideal for furniture production.
It takes many weeks to perfect each piece. The arms have scales carved into the inside angle, with an ornate carving on the exterior of the arms. The front panel is delicately hand carved as well, in a floral leaf pattern, and the carved arched back features a delicate 3 petal flower topping each arch, and below the arches there is an interwoven lattice carving.
Handmade in our warehouse in Rajasthan, India. The Day Bed is designed collapsible for simplified transport. Mattresses and cushions sold separately. Medium Antique Finish.

We spend all our time lounging on this daybed now. Its the new favorite spot in the house. The arms are carved like thick fish scales and the arches look really regal. I thought the depth might be too much but we all end up lounging back with tons of pillows and keep a tray around to eat and play cards on. What a gem. (Posted on 4/21/16)

First off, i have just never seen anything like this before. I bought it for a rather particular client of mine and the only complaint they could come up with was that it was too heavy. it is really solid and feels like it will last decades. It took the delivery company over a week to show up for their once cancelled appointment which is always a pain with design clients, but the piece itself was really stunning. (Posted on 11/14/15)
